In 2010 I will have been a member of the Edgbaston BoB club for 7 years and would highly recommend BoB clubs to anybody who is serious about networking and gaining quality referrals that will help their business. In the last year we have netted over £40,000 in sales due to the referrals that were passed to me. Not only has it improved our business and the way we market ourselves but in the early days of my membership it helped greatly with my presentation skills as standing up and talking to a room of people was a daunting thought…..not anymore. You’re always made welcome and the atmosphere is relaxed so that you don’t have to worry if you’ve never attended a networking event before as all the members will guide you through the meeting. BoB clubs have contributed a massive part of our success and because of this we are now members of 3 BoB clubs in the UK by Paul Spicer

Below are my first thoughts on our (Scunthorpe) BoB Club
bobclubs style? For me BOB Clubs style is excellent. The emphasis is on generating business through personal referrals and networking, a highly effective method of marketing. The meetings are focussed and well led.
Financial benefit to me? Right from the first meeting the generation of new business started and although it is early days I am certain this will be converted into sustainable income.
what I love about the club? Meeting the members and having practical services to call upon for others as well as myself.
Why would I recommend anyone to join the club? There will be only one company represented for each discipline/trade/profession. Best of all, it works!

My company has benefited in many different ways from membership of the BOB network. In addition to gaining new business, it has been helpful to discuss wider business issues with other members at the meetings. The BOB clubs are very welcoming to visitors, so if you are not a member why not take a look. There is no hard sell. For those that are already members I would encourage you to visit the other BOB clubs in your region.

There are many different networking clubs out there, but BOB stands head and shoulders as one of the best groups to join. Partly it is the dedication and enthusiasm of the members and the organisers, clubs are usually well attended with a good mix of local businesses. I would not hesitate to recommend the BOB club as one of the most effective ways for business people to network and generate referrals in a relaxed but professional atmosphere. The Stratford BoB club is a very friendly club (even with the early start!). It is a relatively new club so still growing but after a number of visits I am very pleased to have joined the group. I recommend such networking groups (and networking in general) to anyone looking to build business relationships (and therefore business) . Having been a member of similar organisations before i know such work although it should be viewed as a long term investment, not everyone will see the benefits immediately as i have. Building trust and business from such does take time but the long term benefits far outweigh the cost and a lot of my business still comes from networking ive done in the past. From my point of view, although the Scunthorpe group its still in its infancy and there have only been 4 or 5 meetings so far, attending such has already covered my membership and i havent even paid for such yet!!. I have been to many networking groups over the years and I have to say that Business Over Breakfast is by far the best group I have been a member of. To say that the group has only been formed for two months the members have gelled so well that we have created our own business community that I am proud to say I am a part of. Because the ethos of BOBs is radically different from other groups and because there isn't the pressure there, it actually creates and immense sense of responsibilty to actually do my best for all the others members. This (Coventry) BoB club is fantastic. I joined after my first visit. I was instantly welcomed, made excellent business contacts and, most importantly, felt totally unpressured. When I started my solicitors practice, de marco hunter solicitors in Coventry, I was looking at joining a good networking organisation. I donʼt really do breakfasts! I like my bed and the breakfast clubs I had attended seemed to serve copious amounts of fried food. Geoff Roberts and Paul Jones had each tried on numerous occasions to get me to attend. I finally decided to attend one of their BoB club breakfasts and I was very impressed. There was a great variety of food too. I learn something new each time I attend and I always look forward to the next meeting.
