"I find that the meetings are always a joy to attend which is important in the mornings. All members have a great sense of humour and this leads to a very positive meeting. When I first started at Bob Club my 90 seconds wasn't anything to write home about. However, I can honestly say that over time my presentation skills have improved considerably and this is evident by the success of my recent 10 minute presentation.

It is always a joy to speak to other members and the BoB club organisation always encourage 1-2-1 meetings with members. I have found that these 1-2-1s have benefited me in a number of other ways apart from business, i.e. recently one of the members stated they were looking for a three bedroom house and it so happened that my sister had the ideal place. The cost of membership is relatively cheap when compared to advertising. Where else would you get the sole attention of 30 members who could then go on to explain your services to their clients, colleagues, friends etc?

I have attended other clubs and have found them to be full of strict rules such as 'you must produce x amount of leads' and 'you must attend x amount of meetings'. It is unfortunate that these clubs forget that we are businesses and as such we do have other commitments. Also I for one do not want leads just for the sake of it or for people to just give me bogus leads in order to meet the rules - I am interested in real positive leads and I can say that is what BoB club encourages. As part of my business I have had to miss some meetings but have never felt at a disadvantage or felt that this has been seen as a negative. This proves that my BoB club is unique in that it understands individual business needs and in doing so provides a flexible forum for businesses to network."

Since joining Zero Graphic Systems Limited, I've become a member of Business over Breakfast and I can honestly say that it's a great way to start my week. I actually look forward to getting up early on Monday and Tuesday mornings.

"What can I say about the BOB Club...?

Wow. As a starter up it has given me the confidence to talk so early in the morning to a majority of people I have never met. I am able to sell my business with enthusiasm and confidence, to people who want to listen and my club becomes a form of my own sales team, as I do for them. We promote each other because we trust each other and that's what you need in Business - a strong rapport.

"I attended my first BoB club meeting as a guest on 19th July 2004 and immediately saw the benefits of becoming a member. A relaxed atmosphere, business minded people with a personal approach (a great achievement at 7am in the morning), a warm welcome, plus a cooked breakfast!!

The idea of allowing each person to introduce themselves and their business each week put me at ease straight away. I was able to view for myself the BoB format and the way people presented themselves. I'm used to speaking in public, but it helped to hear others introduce themselves in the first instance.

The referral system - what can I say about that other than brilliant! These were genuine referrals passed around the room as if to old friends. I was impressed and could see the possibilities, a unique way to network. Needless to say, I became a member the following week!

Networking can be tedious, impersonal, hard work for very little gain. At least with the BoB club there is no cold calling and you've almost got one foot in the door to begin with.
