Business Description

I am happy to have a discussion on any nutrition/health related issue to see if I can help. Please check out my testimonials page for feedback from some of my clients at www.i-nutrition.co.uk/testimonials.

Outside of general discussions, the 7 specific areas that I help people in are:

1). General Health / Diet / Energy Improvement

  • Weight may not be an issue, but perhaps you struggle with poor sleep quality or a lack of energy. Maybe you have a poor diet that you need to improve on and/or food addictions that you feel you need to overcome in order to be healthier in the short, medium and long term, and to reduce the risk of illness as you age.
  • For more information, please see: www.i-nutrition.co.uk/for-general-improved-health-diet-and-lifestyle/

2). Weightloss Without Dieting

  • No fad unsustainable dieting. No pills, potions, shakes, meal replacements, counting points etc... I educate my clients and hold them accountable for change. I use methods that deal with the psychological side of losing weight as much as the physical side. I advocate the use of real food and knowledge in losing weight safely and sustainably.

3). Type 2 Diabetes Management and Reversal

  • For those that are at risk of Type 2 Diabetes, are pre-diabetic or perhaps a diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic, my programme can - at the very least - help you to manage your condition effectively. In many cases, remission is a strong possibility too.
  • For more information, please see: www.i-nutrition.co.uk/type-2-diabetes/

4). Free Sugar Awareness Workshops For KeyStage 2 Children

5). 'Healthy Diet, Healthy You' Workshops For KeyStage 2 Children

  • Children benefit from nutritional education from a young age, as this often sets in motion improved dietary habits as they progress in to their teens and in to adulthood. Sadly, for many children, their parents and peers are often poorly educated in nutrition. This makes early intervention with easy-to-assimilate, but effective, workshops absolutely essential for the short, medium and longterm wellbeing of the children.

6). 'Change Your Life In 60 Minutes' Health and Wellness Workshops For Junior and Senior School Teachers

  • Teachers often work long hours and are under considerable pressure and stress, and often their diet suffers as a result which then can result in poor sleep quality, poor energy levels and general poor health - and the resulting poor health makes dealing with stress more difficult, which then can lead to more sickness absence. In just 1 hour, I can educate groups of up to 30 teachers at a time in simple ways to improve their diet, their energy level and their health.

7). 'Change Your Life In 60 Minutes' Health and Wellness Workshops For Employees

  • Healthy employees are often happy employees that feel valued - and in turn are frequently more productive for, and loyal to, your business. In groups of up to 30 at a time, I can educate your staff in simple ways to improve their health and energy levels - all in just 60 minutes!

My Recommendations

'When I met Neil, I was overweight, struggling with a number of medical conditions including arthritis in both knees, and both my body image and self-esteem were at a low ebb.

In the four months that I have been working with Neil, I can honestly say that he has changed my life!

I always thought that I ate healthily (had the odd treat or snack) and exercised regularly (3-5 days a week) but I soon realised that I had formed some bad habits.

Following my initial consultation with Neil, it became clear that although weight loss was a significant goal, my main focus was to improve my general health, be able to manage the chronic fatigue caused by a medical condition and improve my gut health. Although I felt motivated to start this journey, was prepared to make this investment in my health and work hard to achieve my goals, I was overwhelmed with the enormity of the task ahead as there was so much going on in my life and I was not sure if I had the energy! I need not have worried!!

In the accountability sessions every two weeks, Neil’s compassion, professionalism and expert knowledge enabled me to stay focussed and reassured me that I was not alone in this journey. Neil provides support, sets achievable goals between sessions, provides education on not only nutrition but lifestyle as well all without being on a faddy diet!! He advocates a healthy nutritional plan which focuses on fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and not eating processed foods. Very quickly I found I was not only breaking bad habits but also forming new good habits and making healthy choices. I have also discovered that non-processed food is much tastier, more enjoyable and much more satisfying so I never feel hungry!

On my journey with Neil so far, I have lost 28lbs, have dropped two dress sizes and am in sight of the goals I set myself at the start. My body image/self-esteem has improved in leaps and bounds, my medical conditions are much better controlled – I even went to a hospital appointment recently and was able for the first time to announce “I feel great” instead of having a list of issues to sort out. Without that extra 12kg, I have been able to go back to my combat classes and can now walk around a museum or go shopping without being in agony!

I have learnt so much since working with Neil and have come to realise that body composition is much more important than weight which at the end of the day is just a number!! All of my body composition statistics are now coming into the healthy range and I do feel great! Visceral fat and body fat %, body size measurements and my metabolic age have all fallen dramatically, and my hydration and muscle mass have increased. In addition, my chronic fatigue has improved hugely, my skin, hair and nails look healthy, I am sleeping better and I have so much more energy. This is all testament to what Neil has to offer!

My advice - if you ever get a chance to work with Neil, do it - you will never regret that decision and you will gain so much, much more than you ever imagine!' Christine Dewey

from Robert Gordon

I started to work with Neil a few weeks ago having suddenly been confronted by a spike in my normally stable blood pressure. The GP did all the things that you would expect and of course recommended that I lose weight.

I had been slowly and steadily putting on weight for the last twenty years and although I could lose say half a stone from time to time I inevitably ended up putting it all back on.

They do say don't they that if you want the outcomes to change you have to change something you are doing and my change has been to engage fully with Neil and his methods. I want to know that the weight loss I am experiencing by changing my attitude towards food and its place in my life will teach me the habits that I need to maintain my goal weight for the rest of my life.

After 5 weeks under Neil's guidance I have lost something like 6 kilos. I feel better, I look better and I have already dropped a trouser and jacket size which was a real buzz. More to the point I have started to think about food in a different way and discovered that there are lots of foods and food combinations out there that will allow me to enjoy my food but maintain a healthy lifestyle.

We are only part way through my programme but I have every confidence I will hit my goal and more importantly have changed my approach such that I will be comfortable in maintaining my goal weight for the future.

Be warned Neil is not a soft touch and he can't work with you unless you are committed to taking on board everything he has to say. He will match your commitment with his own professionalism and support.
