Why is it  important to send out the meeting reminder email out as soon as possible after the last meeting?

  • Increases the chances of vistors being available to attend the meeting

  • The later the first meetings reminder is sent out, the higher the chance of visitors failing to attend will be
( we see a high percentage - as high as 80% failing to attend if the initial reminder is sent out late)

  • Don’t forget that visitors could well have booked many weeks or even months in advance to attend a future meeting and may well have forgotten that they had booked a place

  • New members who are not yet used to regular meetings may well have booked an appointment if they don’t get a reminder soon enough and therefore may not attend their BoB meeting

  • Each meeting is automatically posted out to Twitter which is retweeted by a number of our more proactive members as well as by ReTweet (RT) accounts for various towns/cities around the World which are in turn retweeted by their followers which leads to us being followed, liked and increasingly those people booking to attend meetings

This is an example of the meeting info we post out to Twitter

Below are examples of what is retweeted out on Twitter by an increasing number of Auto RT accounts

Many experienced BoB Area Coorinators tend to send out the intitial meeting reminder email immediately after updating the actual attendance for the last meeting & sending out the meeting receipts. Don’t forget you can select the days when our system automatically resends the meeting reminder to members and visitors, which also Tweets it out again, meaning it will appear mutiple time on Twitter. Also don’t forget that the meeting reminder email is only sent to members & visitors who haven’t responded to previous reminders or have logged in and manually confirmed attending/not attending. They don’t receive one if they have already indicated Attending or Not Attending.

NOTE: In the UK all upcoming meetings are automatically output to www.FindNetworkingEvents.com but if a meeting is sent out too late it could fail to be included. Not only are all our meetings automatically added to their website, but they are also emailed out to subscibers for each county and’or cities within the UK
