I am a professional photographer based in Canterbury, Kent, UK. I have been taking photographs since the age of nine. When 12 years old I narrowly avoided setting fire to the house when I made an impromptu flash gun using a cake baking tin into which I placed a strip of magnesium ribbon that, in those days, a child could buy from the local chemist for a few pence! A wooden spoon made the handle. The result produced a brilliant white light that lasted rather longer than anticipated...!
In July 2019, having pursued an 18 months process, I was awarded the Licentiate distinction of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain - LRPS.
