After working in HR and people management for over 15 years, I joined the fabulous face2faceHR team as an HR Consultant in March 2016.
I work with business owners and managers to help them effectively manage their employees so that they are more productive and more valuable to the business, after all your people are your greatest asset (it's a cliche because its true!).
I am a Chartered Member of the CIPD, which just means I've been trained in every aspect of HR Management and I've had to demonstrate my experience and knowledge to achieve chartered status.
My HR experience has been gained across a range of industries including manufacturing, logistics, customer service, wholesale and retail, but I've also managed teams in both operational and office environments so I have a wealth of practical management skills to complement my HR knowledge. One of the things I love about my job (apart from the people obviously!) is that its so varied. Call me strange, but I really enjoy getting involved with complex disciplinary and grievance situations, which is a good job because I've supported managers through a lot of them. I've had the opportunity to work on some interesting and tough projects in my career, including large scale restructures and redundancies, site closures and site start ups.
I have spent a big part of my career within strongly unionised, manufacturing and warehousing environments and I'm trained in lean manufacturing techniques and even did a stint on continental shifts as a production team manager.
I am also trained as a coach and I'm a member of the British Psychology Society and registered to use occupational and ability psychometric testing.
I am true HR generalist so I'm confident I can help your business get the best out of its people whatever the situation. My approach is pragmatic and I really believe in building relationships with my clients and understanding their business so that I can help them find HR solutions that work for them.
