I arranged for both my children to have their eyes tested at David Gould optician. I requested the booking online and David very swiftly confirmed an appointment time that was convenient for us. A reminder was sent via text message a day before our appointment, which was really handy.
On arrival, David and his team made us feel very welcome in his store and we were seen very promptly for the eye tests. The lady conducting the eyes tests was very thorough and informative, explaining all the time what she was doing and what she had noticed, to put my children at ease. They loved seeing the photos of their eyes!
My daughter needed glasses and David's shop had a good range for us to look at. David was really good about explaining how best to choose a pair of glasses and quite quickly we were able to choose the frames and colour my daughter wanted.
David also spent time talking to us about contact lenses, which was really interesting and definitely something my daughter will consider in the future, if her eyes continue to to deteriorate. She was a little apprehensive about the thought of contact lenses, but David let her hold one and explained the process of fitting them and trailing them, which made her more confident about the possibility of using contacts in the future.
Within a couple of days, David sent another text alert to inform me that my daughter's glasses were ready. We picked them up and a member of his team ensured they fitted well and were comfortable for my daughter. He was able to adjust them there and then, so she left happy with her new glasses.
From start to finish, David has kept us well informed, been well organised and most importantly, made both my children feel at ease in his shop. I can highly recommend David and his lovely team to others looking for glasses or contact lenses. Thank you

I purchased some glasses from David about 8 years ago which lasted well. I decided to purchase an upgrade and bought a great pair of glasses with lenses that react to light. They were made and delivered within a week or so, just in time for Christmas. Staff are always helpful polite and professional. Always recommend David and his team when someone needs an eye exam.
