I’ve been working in Marketing and Design for nearly 30 years as a Creative Director in different types of large and small creative agencies up and down the country including Nottingham, London, Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow. I’ve worked on a vast range of projects, ran campaigns for some of the biggest brands in the world and helped to launch some of the smallest including; Ford, Motorola, IBM, GE, Vodafone, Shell, Nestle, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Thomas Cook, boots, Superdrug, BAE Systems, House of Fraser, GSK, Thales, Makro and WHSmith. In that time I’ve transformed brands, won many awards, and put together some stellar creative teams.
I’m a Creative Director driven by a philosophy of getting it right first time, every time, all the time and I build my solutions on facts not assumptions. My insight-led approach starts at the briefing all the way through to campaign analysis, so that every
decision affecting the strategy, concept, design and results, is always aligned with the clients brand, target audience and objectives of the brief.
I apply this research approach to every clients’ brief to give me a greater understanding of their longterm as well as shorterm needs to help me deliver real improvements to their businesses.
I‘m as comfortable in the boardroom as I am with pad and pen. From scamp to Mac, I’m a hands-on perfectionist, gregarious, motivated and motivating. I’m forthright and straightforward. Whether managing or creating, off or online, there’s nothing I love more than unraveling a knotty problem, inspiring people and getting results for client and agency. It’s earned me a
solid reputation, and secured me some nice jobs and awards along the way.
